Why does the order form ask if I want left hand doors or right hand doors?

A left hand door is one with the hinges on the left when you look at the door from the outside of the cabinet with the door closed

If the door is reversible, for instance a "Lincoln" door with no pattern, or a "shaker" door, with a symmetrical pattern, then it normally isn't necessary to specify a "handing" because the door can be turned upside down to hinge on either side.

The exception with a symmetrical door is when the drillings for the hinge holes are not the same for the top and bottom hinges. (e.g. 100 up/120 down) The handing then must be specified as left hand door or right hand door, as of course it must be if the door itself is a non-symmetrical, like the Westbury kitchen door which has a square bottom to the central pattern and an arched top

Don't worry. If you send in an order without stating the door handing, we will always contact you to ask. We will never process an order where a door needs to be "handed" without checking.

Please be aware that the colour of a door shown on the website or in the brochure may not be a faithful reproduction of the actual colour of the door.
If the exact colour is important, please ask for a sample swatch before ordering
