If you are fitting new kitchen doors to old cabinets and using new hinges, it is usually a good idea to avoid having the new hinge plates in the same position on the cabinets as the old ones, in case the old screw holes in the cabinet are worn and the new screws won't hold.
However, if you are intending to re-use the old hinges because they are fairly new, then you will want to drill the holes in the new doors in the same place as the old ones.
Measure the distance from the top of the door to the approximate centre of the top hinge hole in the old door (usually a 35mm diameter hole). Do the same from the bottom of the door to the centre of the lower hinge hole. A typical result could be 100mm from the top and 100 mm from the bottom. You might then specify 120mm up and 120mm down, if you are using new hinges, or 100mm up and 100mm down if you are re-using the old hinges.
